Is your marketing in conjunction with your website?

What are you known for?

Sometimes your name in the social media can jeopardize your  identity as a marketer  on the internet.

When I visit your site do I get the same consistency of who you are on other public profiles?

There are 5 ways to get your website on the same page with you:

  1. Perceived Value -  If  I want to buy a product from  yoursite.com, I might be tempted to Google you. If as an internet marketer you sell products on gardening, I want to find your name consistent with that, plus I want to hear other sites talk about you and you being an expert ion that area.
  2. Message content and quality - It’s wise to start a blog or a community in your website. this allows people to trust you more. For example if you have a book about dealing with a mother in law. Before I burn a hole in my pocket I want to see more than the sales letter. You may choose to offer a free report eBook or related article
  3. Self Promotion - Get yourself on Facebook and other social media and make sure you use the same user name throughout. Join groups that relate you. Comment on blogs that are related to your niche, plus make sure you leave a link back to you.
  4. Answer Questions - Answer questions that are related to what your niche would want to know. If for example you are on Yahoo answers. make sure you give not only give the right answers but authoritative answers. Always a link to your site.
  5. Social Bookmarking. - Allow readers to rate your online  articles with the various bookmarks. If you’re using wordpress on your blog you try the social bookmarking plugin.
  6. Bonus - Reply to your readers there is nothing as polite and one that will give you more loyal readers than constant communication with your fans.

If you forget everything remember to be consistent.

Affiliate Marketing - effective way to advertise

Posted by Mike Ndegwa on July 21st, 2008

Affiliate marketing is one of the most effective ways to advertise your business.

Ever had of affiliate programs?

in a simple language. its the people you pay commissions to refer customers to you.

Here is an illustration

Cycle- \"brand owner - affiliate - customer

The brand seller gives a customized url that has a tracking pixel

When a user clicks the pixel fires and it tracks the ip address plus the customized url so as to place

the user transaction under the affiliate marketer.

Brand owners who do not wish to do the technical work of tracing affiliates can use companies like;

  1. Never blue Ads
  2. Click bank

just to name a few.

Advantages of affiliate marketing:

  1. Low Cost - most programs do not require high start up costs. they are affordable and other than registration costs. other costs are paid per sale.
  2. Inventories not included - If you are selling digital products like eBooks, you set up your site once and everything else is on auto pilot.
  3. Unlimited income leverage - It doesn’t matter whether you go to work or not. once you provide your affiliates with the links and ads, then only little or no follow up is needed.
  4. Access to Global Marketplace - As long as you can accept credit cards on your on your site there is no limit on who buys or visits your site. your marketers can be on any part of the globe.
  5. Low risk.- No huge advertisement budgets, you only pay when your affiliates sell.
  6. No closing time - As long as your E commerce site is live you will make money even when you are fast asleep.

However, all these benefits will not be realized if you don’t have a good niche product plus you need to optimize you website by having quality back links
