Is your marketing in conjunction with your website?
What are you known for?
Sometimes your name in the social media can jeopardize your identity as a marketer on the internet.
When I visit your site do I get the same consistency of who you are on other public profiles?
There are 5 ways to get your website on the same page with you:
- Perceived Value - If I want to buy a product from yoursite.com, I might be tempted to Google you. If as an internet marketer you sell products on gardening, I want to find your name consistent with that, plus I want to hear other sites talk about you and you being an expert ion that area.
- Message content and quality - It’s wise to start a blog or a community in your website. this allows people to trust you more. For example if you have a book about dealing with a mother in law. Before I burn a hole in my pocket I want to see more than the sales letter. You may choose to offer a free report eBook or related article
- Self Promotion - Get yourself on Facebook and other social media and make sure you use the same user name throughout. Join groups that relate you. Comment on blogs that are related to your niche, plus make sure you leave a link back to you.
- Answer Questions - Answer questions that are related to what your niche would want to know. If for example you are on Yahoo answers. make sure you give not only give the right answers but authoritative answers. Always a link to your site.
- Social Bookmarking. - Allow readers to rate your online articles with the various bookmarks. If you’re using wordpress on your blog you try the social bookmarking plugin.
- Bonus - Reply to your readers there is nothing as polite and one that will give you more loyal readers than constant communication with your fans.
If you forget everything remember to be consistent.
